Pet Portraits

Here are a few samples of the style of portraits I do. They are done with artist quality light-fast colored pencils.

In order to make a great portrait of your pet, I need good clear photos showing their correct coloring and their eyes, including eye color. I also need one showing the pose you prefer for your portrait. These will need to be emailed to me prior to starting your portrait.

Prices shown are for one subject, with no background. Additional pets in the same picture are an additional 50% of the listed price for each. Full backgrounds (see Bear in chair above) are an additional $100. Please contact me if you need a different size or have other questions.

A 50% deposit is required before starting your project, with the balance due upon completion. You will receive at least two in-progress emails before the portrait is completed, to address adjustments that may be needed. Please keep in mind, my portraits are not intended
to be photo-realistic, I prefer them to look like artwork, not a photograph (see my samples).

I use only color-fast pencils for my portraits, on top quality, archival bristol smooth paper, so your portrait will stand the test of time. Finished portraits are given several light coats of a UV protective sealant to protect and preserve their colors. Finished portrait will be shipped flat, insured, and carefully protected. It will be tape mounted on foam board, ready for matting and framing of your choosing.
